GIRLS ONLY 2022 Thanksgiving Clinic

Welcome

This Thanksgiving, join 2 time World Champion with the U.S. Women's Hockey Team and other Lightning Made staff as we host a one-day Girls Only Thanksgiving Clinic. This will take place on Monday, November 21st at Power Pole Arena from approximately 9am-3pm.
 

The Girls Only Thanksgiving clinic is intended for girls of all skill levels between the ages of 5 and 16. Players are split into 2 ages groups; 5-10 years old and 11-16 years old. Inside each age group the players are separated by skill level in order to create a competitive atmosphere at camp. The Thanksgiving clinic will follow the USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) to maximize ice time and talent development.

The clinic is not just designed for players; goalies will have on one and small group goalie training with former Division 1 women's hockey goalies.

Registration for camp includes the following:

  • 2 on-ice sessions and 1 off-ice sessions per day
  • Lunch provided daily
  • Jersey
  • Other surprises!

Daily Schedule

  • We are still finalizing times for both age groups but the approximate times will be from 9am-3pm.

 

FULL EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND CAMP INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

  • HELMET
  • MOUTH GUARD
  • SHOULDER PADS
  • ELBOW PADS
  • GLOVES
  • HOCKEY PANTS
  • SHIN GUARDS
  • SKATES
  • STICK

WHERE IS THE CLINIC LOCATED?

Camp will take place at Power Pole Areana: 3910 Asphalt Ave, Tampa FL.

WHEN IS THE CLINIC?

The 2022 Girls Only Thanksgiving Clinic will take place on Monday, November 21st from approximately 9am-3pm.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

As you will be going through both on and off-ice training, you must be prepared to participate in both. 

Full equipment is REQUIRED to participate on-ice. Full equipment includes helmet with face mask/cage, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, hockey pants, shin guards, skates and stick

For off-ice training, you will need basic running shoes (no sandals), gym shorts, and a t-shirt

CAN PARENTS STAY AND WATCH?

Of course! While parents are not required to stay for the duration of camp, if you would like to stick around and watch, please feel free to do so! 

CAN I HELP MY HOCKEY PLAYER GET READY?

Of course! We will also have Lightning Made Staff available to help get your little hockey player ready to get on the ice!

IS LUNCH PROVIDED?

Lunch is provided each day for the campers, and snacks are encouraged. If you have any dietary needs or allergies, please inform Kelley Steadman at ksteadman@viniksportsgroup.com

HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DOES MY CHILD NEED?

Any amount of experience is welcome! However, to maximize each child's experience, he or she may be asked to skate in a different age group depending on their skill level.

DO I NEED TO SIGN A WAIVER FOR MY CHILD?

All waivers are electronic and must be signed to complete camp registration. You do not need to sign a paper waiver on the first day of camp.
